Many of us are understanding and taking in what we call, “The Digital Age.” An era where computerization has taken over our economy, the world, and everyone that lives in it. It’s also been slivering it’s way into dominating the marketing realm. Is this true? Has print marketing and advertising passed away, so to speak? Don’t start mourning the loss of print just yet, because it’s perhaps stronger than ever. There are copious reasons why print triumphs digital, even in today’s world. Read more
We spend the majority of our time either at home or bustling away at work. It’s easy to get trapped in the laborious agendas life brings. From meetings to appointments, we are always on the go. Sometimes we forget our own happiness and slowly slip into content oblivion. You might be wondering, “how do I change this?” It doesn’t require a life evaluation or a complete transformation. Happiness stems from what we surround ourselves by. Many aspects of life are completely out of our control, but achieving happiness is not one of them. Attack contentment by finding bliss where you spend the most time.
Home is where the heart is. Chances are you have heard this timeless saying. The saying holds validity and it rightfully should. If home is where the heart is, why not pour your heart into it? Home should be an outlet dedicated to expressing yourself and indulging in what makes you feel alive. Did you know looking at family and friend photos can solely create excitement and happiness? Creating a room full of photo postcards and destination postcards looks authentic and brings the heart to the home.
Having goals, motivation, and determination provides joy believe it or not. People find themselves unhappy when they get into “the same old routine.” It’s as if you can see the world moving by, while you remain stagnant. When you fall into a never-changing regimen, life is just plain boring. No human was meant for nothing, we are born to push our limits and truly live. It’s important to always remember this and keep yourself on the edge of your seat. Life is a ride that you just don’t want to miss. A simple change as placing a motivating quote on your desk at work, can uplift you. It also can remind you to live life to the fullest and give you the extra push you need. Printing postcards is easy and quick at Overnight Prints. Make your own creative postcard, frame it, and turn your workplace into an energizing environment that motivates you.
What else can make your home or office a great place to be? Organization. I expanded on this in my previous blog, and it’s absolutely true. It not only makes you feel great, but it makes your home and workplace somewhere you want to be. A notepad can work wonders for both your home and office. Yes, something as minuscule as a notepad can clear your mind and make your home and office an efficient place to be. A notepad let’s you jot down lists, tasks, and thoughts that you want to remember. In addition, it keeps all of those ideas, tasks and more in one space. It allows you to focus, feel good, and get the most out of where you spend the most time.
As you may have noticed, all of my suggestions are minimal and are not overbearing or time-consuming. They carry simplicity, and this leads to what you are searching for. Complete happiness. It’s not about having more and searching for “things,” that we are sure will bring us closer to happiness. That can become exhausting, which leads to unhappiness, and eventually depression.
Joy is within and surrounding all of us, waiting for us to grasp it. Start today! Remember happiness is simple, easy, and always clear. Open up your eyes, mind, and thoughts to happiness and witness the evolution of your prosperity.
Organization is perhaps the key to success and feeling your best. Being organized has shown to help various aspects of peoples lives. It’s a powerful tool that many don’t make time for and can have an immense impact.
We have all experienced coming home from a long day at work and into a messy house. The last thing you want to walk into is clutter. Having disorder is distracting and overloads what is called the “visual cortex”. This can lead to stress and unhealthy habits both physically and mentally. The same can happen at work. If you’re surrounded by too much on your desk, it can affect your ability to see clearly and focus on your work. This means staying later at work, not getting as much sleep, eating unhealthy, and more. It becomes a domino effect, that can hit every part of your life.
You don’t want something such as being disorganized to take over your sanity. When it’s not taken care of or addressed it can develop into depression, anxiety, and high stress levels. There are three simple routines that can help you quickly become the best you.
Having something as simple as a calendar can make a huge difference. A calendar reminds you of life’s littlest and biggest details. By writing all your upcoming important dates down, this allows you to be prepared for what’s to come. Create a calendar that makes you happy. Place family pictures or anything that makes you feel good, this way when you go to add a date, you can start or end your day on a positive note.
Organization means planning. We all have plenty of tasks to deal with on a daily basis. Writing all your tasks out in one place can free your mind of having to remember everything. This will allow you to focus on one task at a time. Remember clutter and what it can do? Clutter doesn’t only mean a messy house, clutter can also mean too many things occupying your brain at once. Having a planner can alleviate stress on your brain thus allowing you to work harder and faster.
My next suggestion is having a checklist. This is similar to a planner but is more precise and focused on one task. For example you may mark “exercise routine” in your planner, whereas on a checklist it will list all the exercises within your exercise routine.
A checklist ensures you don’t miss a beat and you give maximum efficiency and effort in all that you do. This allows you to never forget things and to never have to repeat yourself.
By having these three tools, you can completely change how you feel and how you operate. It’s easy to fall behind and get overwhelmed when you don’t have the right tools in your toolbox. Start feeling great and being the best you today and everyday.
Every individual has a story to tell. A story that is different from the rest and deserves to be delivered in the correct manner. Now, “correct manner,” is not uniform, it’s divergent. Constantly diving in different directions. When i think of a business card, i think of a opportunity to
tell a story. Whether that be for the company i work for, or simply myself. It’s an outlet, a medium, or even a platform to get your story heard in the crucial moments, and in the most important encounters.
There are five characteristics every business card should encompass. Maintaining simplicity, purpose, accuracy, professionalism, and uniqueness. These five aspects carry a business card, and make it effortless for your story to come across with dynamic precision. Leave an instant impression by including all these factors within your card.
A card that showcases simplicity, is a card that presents trustworthiness and loyalty. Choosing simple color hues such as black and white allows trust to be seen. In addition, keeping all your information limited will create a subtle, yet dramatic impact. No matter what business we are in, trust remains the top factor. It’s vital, and can all begin with your business card. White on a card can also interpret clarity, and a clean purpose.
Purpose. A reason, justification, and a motivation for what you do. This factor must be communicated through the text and design on the card. What drives you? Make sure you place the most important information on your card, not your whole resume.
Try not to clutter your card with details, this is a turnoff for many employers. Perhaps, think about a short quote, or six word bio, telling your audience your purpose. This leaves the card not with a clean look, but with something that grabs their attention, leaving them wanting to know more.
The next factors can be combined, and those are accuracy and professionalism. They both go hand in hand. You never want to portray yourself as something that you’re not. Always stay true to yourself and to others. Many people tend to go overboard and end up with a business card that not only represents their self, but in some instances their company. Pay attention to colors, finishes, and text. Make sure your card is a strong representation of your purpose.
Last but certainly not least, is being unique. We all naturally have this quality, but it’s another thing to bring it to the table. Have something in addition to your standard business card to give to potential clients or employers. Give them something with a more in-depth look.
Our mini business cards are the ideal outlet to showcase and highlight even more. Provide your LinkedIn, Facebook, and much more.
