Okay, so I have some new designs to add to this post of truly amazing postcard andflyer designs. I think the latest crop of designs to be included in this post are some of the most original and beautiful pieces of design you’ll see ANYWHERE! These designs that represent a more artistic and Avant-garde approach to flyer design should inspire you in your own design work.

As I’ve said before on this blog, putting your work on postcards is a really effective way of promoting yourself – especially if your work is this good! This is another self-promotional art-on-postcard design that showcases Christophe Remy’s uniquely brilliant and edgy design and artwork Total eye-candy design from Christoph Ruprecht – full of childlike wonderment! The typography is so amazing in this flyer. I love designs in which the designer creates fantastic interaction between the design and the textual design elements. A digital piece of artwork that combines well-known images, monster icons, and other “funky stuff” in a sweet design! Super photomanipulation and design aesthetic Retro design beauty Awesome illustration and design with a beautiful message Incredibly cool, and elegant (great club flyers don’t have to be busy!) I hope you too have been inspired by some truly exceptional flyer designs. The one thing that all these flyer designs have in common is that they have tried to be a little more unique and different! I’ve purposely not included that typical “hot girl in bikini” style flyer and shown you a subtler, more thoughtful flyer. When creating your own flyers, my advice is to be bold but try not to be too obvious!

Thanks for sharing these! I love it, so amazing! However, I have never had a client that would 1. spend the money for the time to create such beautiful pieces and 2. would not back away from the artistic excellence and edginess. That’s why I paint, to express free creativity. I love graphic design, but I do envy the artists that can combine their soul with both work and expression in the paying design world.
Hi Susan, I think there is some truth to what you’re saying, that SOME clients won’t pay for great design work but that is not the rule. I’ve created some major design pieces that have been massive undertakings! Weeks of work, infact, to create one brilliant piece! It depends on the client (and size of the clients budget.) For instance, I’ve done a couple of design projects for one of the major record labels (POS pieces, and CD covers, etc) that “no expense was spared” on the project and my time was not under scrutiny. In contrast, I’ve also worked for companies whose strict budgeting didn’t allow for any real detailed thought or design concept! But don’t get me wrong, something “simple and quick” can sometimes produce amazing results. Depends on the designer and the client, and the information you receive from the client, and the relationship you have with the client, and the stars aligning at the right time….etc,etc! I love the new layout. Very eye catching, visually structured and professional. It’s easier for my eye to define the areas of the brochure, whereas Larry’s original flyer design was more of a collage of fonts and images.
